Make Fried Chislic Like a Chef

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) lamb steaks
  • 2 quarts (2L) canola oil
  • Kosher salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Begin by preheating canola oil in a heavy bottomed pot or Dutch oven to 350°F (176°C). Cut the lamb steaks into 1 inch cubes. Place about 4 cubes of meat onto each skewer.
  2. On a wire rack-lined baking tray, season the lamb skewers with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Working 3 skewers at a time, place the skewers into the hot oil and fry until golden brown.
  4. Remove the cooked skewers from the oil and drain on a wire rack-lined baking tray.
