About Me

I'm Joshua Weissman
Joshua Weissman was born in Los Angeles, California. He started cooking at the ripe age of 4 years old with his Mother. This became such a passion of his that by age 10 he was cooking daily for his parents and neighbors. By 16 Joshua was helping magazines and food photographers style food and write recipes. This led to a short period of blogging and ultimately publishing his first cookbook at 17. From there Joshua worked in a some of the best restaurants in the South Central Region of the United States, more specifically Odd Duck and Uchiko. Joshua spent nearly 3 years at Uchiko working various positions, leading the morning cook team, and as a line cook.
In 2018, out of frustration for a lack of entertaining and quality cooking shows. Joshua began posting videos on YouTube while still working full time at Uchiko. After over a year of sleepless nights he finally went full time with YouTube. Now he runs one of the largest cooking YouTube channels in the world with a social presence of over 22 million followers. Since then he has authored 2 New York Times Best Selling Cookbooks and won a Streamy Award in 2025 for People’s Choice Best in Food.
Joshua has one major goal: provide any amount of entertainment for people through food to help the food community become bigger and better than ever. And in a best case scenario, to have someone see food and love food in the same way Joshua does, even if for a second.
